Burnt Creek Fire Community Meeting at Cloverleaf Hall

There will be an in person only community meeting for the Burnt Creek Fire at the Cloverleaf Hall in Enterprise on Thursday the 23rd. at 4:00 PM.

The fire has been divided into two divisions, Charley and Juliet.  Division Supervisors conducted field assessments to evaluate fire behavior, assess access to the perimeter. Today crews including the La Grande IHC have focused on the line at the confluence of Davis and Swamp Creeks to develop an anchor point. The Rouge River IHC will assist on the Burnt Creek for their remaining few shifts.

Significant aviation support occurred on the Burnt Creek Fire with Helicopters and Scoopers working the fire today as smoke lifted and allowed those operations. A dozer was re-assigned from the Anthony Fire this afternoon and will support heavy equipment line construction on the fire.  

We will continue work next several shifts developing a strategic plan, management action points and triggers for evacuation levels should they become necessary. At this point Joesph Creek and six residents have been placed in Level 1  “Be Ready” status.
