What We Do

The Wallowa County Assessor’s Office is responsible for appraising all property within the county for property tax purposes. Our work includes valuation and assessment of:

• Residential, commercial, and industrial properties
• Recreational properties and manufactured structures
• Farm and forest land
• Business personal property

We also administer a wide range of special assessment and exemption programs, including:

• Senior citizen tax deferral
• Veteran and active-duty military exemptions
• Farm and forestland deferrals
• Additional property tax exemption programs

In addition, our office maintains up-to-date records for plat maps, property ownership, and assessment data to ensure accurate and accessible public information.
