What We Do

The Wallowa County Assessor’s Office is responsible for appraising all types of property within the county for property tax purposes. This includes:

• Residential, commercial, and industrial properties

• Recreational properties and manufactured structures

• Farm and forest land

• Business personal property

In addition to property appraisal, our office administers a variety of special assessment and exemption programs, including:

• Senior citizen tax deferral

• Veteran and active duty military exemptions

• Farm and forestland deferrals

• Other property tax exemptions

We also maintain current records for plat maps, property ownership, and assessment data
