Recycle Center

This is a photo of the mess recently left outside the recycle center over the weekend.  The County loses money on the center as it is; we cannot afford to staff it seven days a week.  If you have a large amount of cardboard, please bring it on Tuesday or Wednesday when staff can deal with it.  If the cardboard area is full, DO NOT LEAVE IT OUTSIDE.  This creates a mess as the cardboard blows around, and it takes just that much longer to clean up when someone returns to work.

Many recycle facilities are only open when staffed.  The County is trying to accommodate everyone's schedule by leaving the center open 24/7.  We would appreciate it if the people who are abusing this privilege would be more considerate.

• Automobiles – for 100% tax-deductible donations, go to the website.
• Paint, tires, car batteries, styrofoam or plastic film, or packaging of any kind.
