The Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office provides seasonal Marine patrol at the Wallowa Lake, the Snake River, and other rivers and bodies of water with the county to ensure Oregon marine safety rules are observed.
The Marine Patrol season generally runs from about May till the middle of October.
Boating licenses may be purchased at the Wallowa County Justice Center front office between Mondays and Fridays during regular business hours (except holidays).
Boat inspections can be done by appointment within the Marine Patrol season (generally May through October) by calling our office and speaking to a Marine Deputy.

The Marine Patrol Deputies can also be found at the Wallowa Lake Boat docks, and inspections can be handled there if the deputy is not busy.
