The Wallowa County Commissioners encourage citizen participation in local government and welcomes your interest in serving on a County board or commission.

Appointments to County boards and commissions are made by the Commissioners. 
Residency within Wallowa County is a requirement for membership on most boards. 
Terms on the various boards and commissions vary.


  

Compensation Board

The Compensation Board is statutorily required to review the compensation of county elected officials each year and make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners for their compensation for the upcoming year. The Compensation Board is appointed by the Board of Commissioners and currently consists of three citizen members. Members are appointed to four-year terms.

Operating under ORS 204.112.
