About Kevin:
As President and Founder of ProtoGen, Kevin is an energy resilience pioneer with nearly 30 years of industry experience. Beginning as an electrician in 1996 and achieving Master Electrician status by 2001, he founded ProtoGen in 2016, motivated by his firsthand experience during Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and its devastating impacts on community infrastructure.
With expertise spanning photovoltaics, battery storage, microgrids, and multiple generation technologies, he has designed, installed, and approved over 3,500 energy projects across 15 states. As both practitioner and educator, he has trained thousands of stakeholders on energy policy, regulation, and financing while advocating for a future where energy systems prioritize community resilience and adaptability in an increasingly unstable grid environment.
