Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Wallowa County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 10:00 am in the Thornton Conference Room, 1st floor of the Wallowa County Courthouse.
AMD#2024-03 (AMD#24-01) STANGEL INDUSTRIES – This is the second of two required hearings for AMD#24-01 submitted by Stangel Industries. The proposal requests changing the zoning of approximately 18 acres of two adjacent parcels described as Township 02S Range 44E Section 01 Tax Lot 105, Ref# 1327 and Township 01S Range 44E Section 00 Tax Lot 3400, Ref#410 currently zoned as Exclusive Farm Use (EFU). If approved, the approximate 18 acres of zone EFU would be rezoned to Rural Service (RS) without State Goal exceptions, as allowed Oregon Revised Statues (ORS) 197.716 and documented in the Wallowa County Economic Opportunity Analysis 2021 and the Wallowa County Comprehensive Land Use Plan and associated zoning maps would be revised.
Additional written comments regarding this application must be received by this office by 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Comments may be delivered by hand, mail, or email to the addresses at the top of this notice. The Board of Commissioners will also accept oral comments at the time of the hearing.
