Welcome to Wallowa County’s 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatch Center
Employees of the Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office are certified Telecommunicators and Emergency Medical Dispatchers. Each Telecommunicator/Emergency Medical Dispatcher is certified through the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training.
The training and experience qualifies each Telecommunicator to answer the 9-1-1 emergency telephone calls and further manage the calls based on circumstances surrounding each emergency situation.
911 Dispatchers at the Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office provide dispatch services for the Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office, the Enterprise Police Department, the Enterprise and Wallowa ambulance services, and the rural and city fire departments in Wallowa County. Additionally,
911 dispatch services also work in cooperation with the Search and Rescue Team, Wallowa County’s Department of Emergency Management, the Oregon State Police and the U.S. Forest service.
